Gingerbread House

Gingerbread House

The Gingerbread House is a location seen in the film.

Not much is known about its history other than the fact that it is also known as the "Candy House". The Candy Witch is old in appearance, so it can be presumed that she has been using the house to lure children for years. With the Witch gone, the location is now abandoned.

The outer structure is entirely made out of candy, or at least a material that looks like candy: the entrance of the house appears a simple door but a closer look reveals a pattern of white tiles that make it look like a circular maw, surrounded by strange colored glyphs. On the inside, it has notable features such as a cage, where Hansel was kept; an oven; and candles. The interior of the Gingerbread House is old and cave like and filled with cobwebs.

Following the death of the Candy Witch, the Gingerbread House fell to ruin and the inside was covered in cobwebs while the outside is now rotted.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

Hansel & Gretel stumble upon the house after being abandoned by their father in the woods. They begin eating the outside structure of the house until the doors open. They enter and are captured by the Candy Witch. Hansel is locked in a cage and forced to eat candy whilst Gretel does the chores. They manage to kill the witch and escape the house.

The Gingerbread House is seen later in the film. After Muriel kills Mina, she is shot and ends up in the house, Hansel and Gretel enter the house where they kill her.
